Reminders not coming?

Some phones stop reminders to save battery. Check these once so your reminders always arrive.

First, check inside the app

  1. Open WishBell and go to Me › Reliability centre.
  2. Tap Fix on any check that says Needs attention: Notifications, On-time alarms and Battery optimisation.
  3. Tap Send test reminder. It arrives in 10 seconds, and you can lock the screen.

Then follow the steps for your phone

Samsung

How to do it

  1. Settings › Apps › WishBell › Battery › Unrestricted.
  2. Also remove it from Sleeping apps.
Other Android phones

How to do it

  1. Settings › Apps › WishBell › Battery › Unrestricted (or Don't optimise).
Oppo / Realme / OnePlus

How to do it

  1. Settings › Battery › App battery management › WishBell.
  2. Turn on Allow background activity and Allow auto launch.
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO

How to do it

  1. Settings › Apps › Manage apps › WishBell › Autostart on.
  2. Then Battery saver › No restrictions.
Vivo / iQOO

How to do it

  1. Settings › Battery › Background power consumption › WishBell › Allow.
  2. Also: i Manager › App manager › Autostart › WishBell on.
iPhone

How to do it

  1. Keep Background App Refresh on for WishBell (Settings › General › Background App Refresh) so reminders stay up to date.

Menu names can differ a little between Android versions. If you can’t find an option, search Settings for “Autostart” or “Battery”.

Common questions

How do I move my data to a new phone?

On the old phone, turn on Cloud backup in the app’s settings and sign in. On the new phone, sign in with the same account. Without backup your data lives only on the old phone, so back up or export before you switch.

A holiday date looks wrong.

For lunar calendar dates, check your calendar region (Purnimanta or Amanta) in Settings. If a date still looks wrong, email us with the holiday and your city.

How do I change the language?

Go to Settings › Language and pick any of the 21 languages, or choose Use phone language.

Does WishBell send wishes by itself?

No. WishBell prepares the wish and the card and reminds you. You are the one who shares it.

Where is my data stored?

Events, people and notes stay on your phone. Cloud backup and AI features are optional and only switch on after you agree. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Me › Settings › Privacy and security › Delete my account. If you can’t open the app, use the web form.
